Millers Oils Nanodrive Engine Oils from Performance Racing Oils

The Challenge Cup Series is excited to announce a returning sponsorship of Performance Racing Oils for the 2016 season as an Official Product Social Sponsor.

Performance Racing Oils are always looking to improve their products by staying on top of new technology and innovations. Performance Racing Oils are the North American distributor of Millers Oils, who have introduced nanotechnology to motorsports in F1, IndyCar, WRC, and many other professional and grassroots racing series with its Nanodrive of engine and gear oils.

Millers Oils gear oil with nanotechnology was awarded the Most Innovative New Product at the 2009 World Motorsports Symposium, beating out a data acquisition system from McLaren and the KERS system from Williams. Millers’ engine oil was the runner-up for the same award in 2012.

Nanotechnology reduces the coefficient of friction of sliding surfaces in the engine, improving durability and increasing usable power. During manufacturing, surfaces have micron (0.001mm) sized high and low spots created by machining and polishing. These asperities are sheared off in a running engine, which is observed as wear. Nano (0.000001mm) sized particles are significantly smaller than the high and low spots, which allows them to fill the low spots and act like billions of ball bearings, which reduces wear on the engine. Additionally, this reduction in friction frees up power for more useful purposes.

Nanodrive Competition Fully Synthetic engine oils have been designed to offer racers, engine builders and team managers a whole range of valuable benefits: Lower friction means increased power output, reduced wear for improved durability, reduced frequency of engine builds, and reduced costs. Nanodrive engine oils feature an optimized blend of base stocks, including PAO and Tri-Ester, and a robust additive pack to prolong the useful life of the oil, in addition to the incorporation of nanotechnology.

We are proud to partner with a respected brand like Millers Oils / Performance Racing Oils as the Challenge Cup Series embarks on another successful season.

Look for Millers Oils products to be awarded to Challenge Cup Series members at races across Canada and the Untied States in 2016.
