Challenge Cup Series 2019 Championship Weekend Preview

September 11, 2019 // Leave a Comment

Challenge Cup Series | Formula Vee Racing FV1200

The 2019 Challenge Cup Series is set to wrap up at New Jersey Motorsport Park this weekend. An increase in participation has brought a large number of different drivers to the podium this year. Sam Ryan sits atop the overall division with multiple successful races, he’s collected a healthy 165 points. Matt Clark sits second overall with 130 points, providing strong competition for the 2019 Championship.

With a number of capable and potential spoilers entered this weekend, possible challenges at the front could upset the current order in both divisions throughout the field.

Among the young grouping of series drivers, Ian Hornish has shown consistent improvement in his pace during the season. Ian sits fourth overall with a double win at Pittsburgh International Race Complex last month.

The 2019 Challenge Cup Series Season will come to an end after the Saturday afternoon feature race. We hope to see you at the year-end party on the Saturday evening. Congratulations to all our teams and competitors on a successful 2019 season. We wish you all the best this weekend at New Jersey Motorsport Park.
